Do You Use Push Resistance?
The true combat Martial Artists must be ready to present a powerful opposing force against any force that works against them.
He or she can never allow himself or herself to be manhandled by any person at any time.
Pushing & shoving is a big part of fighting. It will most likely occur during a confrontation with the intention of knocking you off balance or moving you to a less advantageous position.
You must never allow yourself to go in the direction that your attacker is pushing or pulling you because it will not be good for you when you arrive there.
Here is how to resist being pushed.
1) When your attacker pushes you backward, oppose his force by leaning your head and body weight forward into him.
2) Plant your dominant leg behind you like a kickstand and lower your center of gravity so it is below your attackers!
3) Push forward with your rear-based leg to stop and eliminate any backward movement.
